Fernweh Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 and based in Irvine, California.
At its core is a chamber orchestra of professional musicians — artists with active careers spanning concert halls, international festivals, and stages across the world. The Foundation was born as a natural extension of that artistic life.
A deliberate choice to carry the experience built on stage forward, and to turn it into lasting opportunity for the next generation. The name Fernweh — a German word for the longing to reach somewhere beyond the horizon — reflects the belief that drove this organization into existence. Every serious young musician knows that feeling.
